Liberal Democrat Tom Brake retained the seat in 2017 with a 41.0% share and 20,819 votes, up 6.1% from the 2015 General Election.
The constituency voted 56.25% to leave in the EU referendum.
The seat has been held by the Liberal Democrats since 1997, when they won it from the Conservatives.
Tom Brake (Liberal Democrat)
Tom Brake won the seat from the Conservatives in the May 1997 election. He was appointed Liberal Democrat Spokesman for Exiting the European Union and International Trade and Shadow First Secretary of State. He has lived in Carshalton and Wallington for 25 years.

Elliot Colburn (Conservative)
Elliot Colburn was born at St Helier Hospital and went Carshalton Boys School. He previously worked as a Public Affairs Officer for the South West London Health and Care Partnership. He is a Sutton councillor and trustee of Community Action Sutton. He is also a Scout Leader for the 6th Carshalton Scout Group.
He said: “I want to be your strong, local voice in Parliament to stand up for the issues that matter most to you, such as delivering improvements at St Helier Hospital, holding the council to account, delivering better public transfer, more good school places and protecting our local environment.”

Tracey Hague (Green)
Tracey Hague previously stood as the Green Party candidate for Croydon Central in the 2017 General Election and as the Green Party candidate for Addiscombe West in the 2018 Croydon local election.
She said: “People are crying out for a new kind of politics. Everyone is fed up of the country being run for the benefit of bankers, media moguls, and property developers. Only the Green Party is working for the benefit of everyone: tackling inequality, filthy air, a struggling transport network and a broken housing system.”

Ahmad Nawaz Wattoo (Labour)
Ahmad Nawaz Wattoo has lived in Beddington since 2008. He is a solicitor. His personal values include working towards a fairer and more equal society and to listen to local people and act on their concerns.
“I am delighted to be the Labour Parliamentary candidate for Carshalton & Wallington constituency. We will deliver the Labour agenda. People are tired of the rigged system and they need radical change. Brexit without consensus is not a portrayal of our democracy,” he said.
