Kingstonian FC prepare to close out season with last ever match at Kingsmeadow

Kingstonian FC are rallying the troops for their last match of the season and the last ever at Kingsmeadow tomorrow.

The time is almost upon K’s fans as they prepare to walk through the iron gates at Kingsmeadow, the club’s home since 1989, one final time as the Kingston club take on top-of-the-table Havant & Waterlooville.

The club, who all but secured league safety for another season after beating Merstham on Monday, are moving down to Leatherhead, to ground share with the Fetcham Grove side for the 2017/18 season.

The move comes as a result of the sale of Kingsmeadow to Chelsea by AFC Wimbledon; the owners and current co-occupiers of the stadium, as a means to raise the money for The Dons to build a new ground back in Merton.

The game will be new manager Craig Edwards’ sixth game in charge after taking over from Tommy Williams, with a refreshed K’s side claiming ten points from a possible 15 since.

Kingstonian will have their position in the Premier Division ratified unless Burgess Hill Town claw back a unlikely 14 goal deficit when they take on Merstham the same day.

Kick-off is at 3pm tomorrow and tickets are available on the day at the turnstiles at the far end of the ground.
