Competitors from Checkmat Wimbledon Brazilian Jiu Jitsu club came away from the London Warriors Cup in Harrow with two silver medals yesterday.
Silver medallists Ron Roy and Juliette Brillet, who train at the club twice a week, were duly rewarded for all their hard work in the gym on Sunday, October 30.
Instructor Carl Fisher said: “’I am extremely proud of their performances, both have worked really hard for this competition.
“What makes this success even sweeter is that my students are facing opponents that train in full-time gyms and have been running much longer and have lots more classes than we currently have.”
