A feisty Checkmat Wimbledon Brazilian Jiu Jitsu champ took home gold at the Southend Open last weekend.
Checkmat Wimbledon student Juliette Brillet competed at the Southend Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Open on Sunday, September 25 and came away with the gold medal.
Juliette submitted both her opponents on the way to the number one spot, via arm in her first fight and a lapel choke in the second.
Juliette trains twice a week at Checkmat Wimbledon and has extra sessions at London Fight Factory during the week.

Her coach Carl Fisher said: “I am over the moon for Juliette and am a very proud instructor right now.
“All the hard work Juliette has put in over the last six weeks has been duly rewarded with a gold medal.
“Both myself and my students are delighted with her result and we all look forward to more medals to come in the future.”
