Austin Powers star Verne Troyer will star in New Wimbledon Theatre’s production of Peter Pan this Christmas.
The Mini-Me star, who played Gringotts goblin Griphook in the Harry Potter franchise and enjoyed a spell on Celebrity BB, is set to play Lofty the Pirate.
At only 2ft 8 inches, the American will be the shortest actor ever to appear in British pantomime.
Troyer, 46, said of his first pantomime experience: “I am so excited to be joining the world of British pantomime.
“The people of the UK always make me feel so welcome and what better way to spend Christmas than performing in a live show at a beautiful theatre in London.
“It’s a special time of year and I’ve heard such wonderful things about pantomime that I can’t wait to give it a go.
“I may be an American but I can guarantee a big performance!”
Comedian Marcus Brigstocke, creator of Radio 4’s The Brig Society, will be taking on the role of Captain Hook with aptly named panel show regular, Jarred Christmas, playing his sidekick, Smee.
BGT finalists Flawless will somersault their way through the show as Captain Hook’s pirate crew.
Peter Pan will be staged from Saturday December 5 to Sunday January 10 2016 at New Wimbledon Theatre.
