AFC Wimbledon will hope to stretch their unbeaten run in League Two to six games when they travel to Luton Town on Saturday afternoon.
The Dons lost two of their opening three fixtures in the league, but have since taken nine points from their last five to sit solidly in mid-table.
Manager Neal Ardley praised his side’s character in their 2-1 comeback victory against Notts County last week, and he’s hoping that the win – which featured two Dons goals in the last five minutes – can transpire into a run of positive performances.
However, the visitors will be without defender Will Nightingale for a minimum of two weeks after the defender hobbled off midway through the first half.
It’s left the Dons a little short at the back with teenager Ryan Sweeney, who may also be called up for the Republic of Ireland U19 squad, only just returning from injury.
It means Ardley is weighing up whether to dip into the loan market.
“It is one that I have to monitor and look at, but it is not something I am going to rush into,” he told the official website.
“As soon as Will got injured on Saturday we started drawing up our list and having a look in case we do need to go into that.
“For the moment we have Paul Robinson, Karleigh Osborne and Ryan, but obviously there may be a problem with Ryan and his international duty.”
Osborne will likely start tomorrow but striker Lyle Taylor serves the final game of his three-match suspension for being sent off at Mansfield Town.
Luton have had an indifferent start to their campaign, winning for the first time at home last week against Mansfield after languishing close to the relegation zone.
Wimbledon boast a strong decent record against the Hatters, beating them on both occasions last season, including a 1-0 victory when the two played at Kenilworth Road in August 2014.
Luton defender Scott Cuthbert is also a doubt and, after sitting out last week’s win with a suspension, has picked up an ankle injury in training.
Scott Griffiths and Pelly Ruddock-Mpanzu are also doubts for the Hatters.
