Belly-busting 3,600 Cadbury eggs delivered to Morden Hall Park for Easter weekend egg-stravaganza

Intrepid Easter egg hunters are invited to track down chocolatey goodies at Morden Hall Park this Easter weekend.

For the eighth year running Cadbury are supporting the National Trust to present the 2015 Easter Egg trails, which will run at more than 300 locations in the UK from Good Friday through to Easter Monday.

Families will have their children b-egging them to explore the park’s tree-lined trails and vast riverside lawns from 11am to 4pm desperately trying to solve the clues and unearth sweet treats.

National Trust manager at Morden Hall Park, Dan Cooke, said: “We love putting on such a great time at the park.

“Last year we had our best ever year with more than 2,500 people taking part and we are hoping to do even better this year.

“To receive our largest ever delivery of Cadbury Easter Eggs, 3,600, is very exciting!” More than a quarter of a million Cadbury Eggheads, equating to 21.5 tonnes of chocolate eggs, are being delivered to National Trust properties across England before the four-day event. Each trail starts at a designated camp where eggs-plorers will receive trail journals containing expedition maps and the clues to keep the young pioneers on track.

After successfully navigating the trail young explorers will claim a crackin’ Cadbury Egghead prize – but with so many eggs to conceal, staff have been getting more creative about where to hide them.

The National Trust hatched this partnership with Cadbury back in 2007 and its popularity has grown rapidly with 680,000 taking part in this challenge in 2014.

The proceeds will go towards the maintenance of their parklands and historic buildings as well as putting on a multitude of other egg-citing activities for visitors to enjoy.

The trail costs £4. For more information visit www.nationaltrust.org.uk/mordenhallpark
