Huddersfield Town vs Fulham @ John Smith’s Stadium

Kostas Stafylidis has apologised to his Fulham teammates for his midweek red card that has ruled him out of tomorrow’s crunch game at Huddersfield Town.
The defender was sent off for two yellow cards in quick succession as the Cottagers were beaten 3-0 by Leeds United, earning a rebuke from manager Kit Symons in the process.
With Fulham just one place and six points off the bottom three and with only one win in their past 11 games, victory against fellow strugglers Huddersfield would go a long way to easing relegation fears, and Stafylidis is sorry he won’t be there to help.
The 21-year-old said: ”I want to apologise for the red card I received in Wednesday’s game.
“I let my emotions get the better of me against Leeds, and made the team’s challenge to get back in the game even harder.
“We did not deserve to lose that match and I apologise to my manager, my teammates, the club staff and supporters for my actions.
“I’m also sorry that I won’t be able to help the team when they go for the win at Huddersfield, but want to make the fans aware that I’m committed to helping the team in the remaining matches of the season.”
After the Leeds defeat, Symons identifed Huddersfield as a key match in their fight for survival, with the Terriers only four points above them and with just one win in their past nine games.
A spirited draw against high-flying Norwich on Tuesday will give them a boost, but it came at a cost with James Vaughan suspended after being sent off for celebrating what he thought was a last-minute winner.
They will also be without on loan QPR defender Jack Robinson, who has been ruled out for 12 months with a bad knee injury.
