A Chiswick dog lover enjoyed a picture perfect day at Crufts after scooping a top photography prize.
Art Burasz won the Dogs at Play category, as part of the Dog Photographer of the Year awards, for his playful image of Harley, a Boxer, and Labrador Max.
The professional photographer, who runs WoofSnap Photography, rubbed shoulders with a host of other award winners and nominees at the world-famous Crufts, presented by the Kennel Club.
And after seeing his image displayed on the big screen in Birmingham’s NEC, the 34-year-old explained exactly why he is so passionate about snapping dogs.
“I just loving to photograph them, their expressions are true and natural – they never lie to the camera,” Mr Burasz said.
“Their looks are honest. They look happy if they are happy, and if they feel sad then they will look sad, they won’t hide it.
“It can be hard work, but the rewards are brilliant. The two dogs in the photo love to play, so as soon as they saw a ball in the field they are all over the place messing about.
“I was just chasing them around, crawling on my hands and knees, trying to get a good shot.
“Crufts is fantastic, I love all the dogs and the whole atmosphere makes it a very nice experience.”
