A woman is being cut from the wreckage of a car crash by firefighters after the vehicle collided with Hammersmith Bridge.
The black mini flipped onto its side after it hit bridge furniture this afternoon.
The A306 Hammersmith Bridge and Castelnau Road is now closed in both directions due to the incident and rush-hour commuters are being urged to avoid the area of possible due to long delays.

Eyewitness Poppy Hodgson tweeted from the scene that part of the bridge appeared to have been knocked down.
