Earlsfield’s Joe Joyce will look to maintain his unbeaten start to this season’s World Series of Boxing in Havana on Friday.
Super-heavyweight Joyce has been in impressive form for the British Lionhearts, stopping Viktor Vykhryst of the Ukraine Otamans and Mohammed Grimes of the Algeria Desert Hawks on his two previous outings.
It will be a tough ask to maintain that record against the Cuba Domodores on Friday though, with reigning champions Cuba having won all their matches this campaign and 24 out of 25 bouts.
The Lionhearts have won two of their five matches – both where Joyce fought – and 11 of their 25 bouts, but lost their last fixture 5-0 to the Russia Boxing Team last week.
