A Muslim youth group helped raised cash for a children’s cancer charity at Crystal Palace FC last Saturday.
Members from the Raynes Park, Southfields and Croydon group of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association (AMYA) lent a hand collected money for CLIC Sargent.
Saturday’s collection was done as part of ongoing charity bucket collections at Selhurst Park Stadium.
Farhan Khalid, the AMYA member from Raynes Park said: “We all were willing to strive for one common purpose – helping the less fortunate.
“The boys really had a good time, despite the rain, collecting for the charity and it was a fun and memorable day
“For Muslims, service to humanity is a religious duty – this will help us to realise the value of assisting in charitable initiatives, and to understand the importance of helping those from all walks of life, irrespective of colour, creed, religion or race.”
