Feline doppelgangers of the cast of hit musical CATS show just how purr-fect they are in the programme’s advert.
Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger’s character Grizabella, Mr Mistoffelees and Rum Tum Tugger are just some of the bright-eyed and bushy-tailed ensemble showcased in the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home ad.
It reads: “At Battersea Dogs & Cats Home we have a whole cast of character ready for rehoming now.”
Cattery Team Leader SuiLi Weight said that Battersea cares for around 3000 paws-itively lovely cats each year in its three centres in London, Old Windsor and Brands Hatch.
She said: “We have 250 cats at any one time so there were plenty of our feline friends to choose from and name after CATS the musical characters.
“Our staff pawed over every cat in Battersea’s care until they found ones that looked just like Grizabella, Macavity, Old Deuteronomy, Bustopher Jones, Rum Tum Tugger and Mr Mistoffelees.
“Thankfully all of these charismatic cats have found loving homes, but we have many others in our care waiting for a chance to take centre stage.”
