Jake Goodman is available for AFC Wimbledon’s FA Cup tie with Wycombe Wanderers after being given permission by his parent club Millwall.
The Lions had previously said that as Wycombe also had a player of theirs on loan, midfielder Fred Onyedinma, it would be fairest if neither took part.
However, Goodman is now free after Millwall changed their minds and he could now play an important part for The Dons in this tie and beyond.
Manager Neal Ardley said: “They’ve since looked at it and decided that the only person they would be hurting is Jake.
“He has probably got four or five centre-backs ahead of him at Millwall, but Fred has been in and around their first-team and he may have a chance of playing for them in future rounds.”
Wimbledon needed a replay against York to reach this stage, whilst Wycombe overcame Conference side Barnet 3 -1 to set up this all League 2 tie.
The Chairboys are top of the league and have won four of their last five games meaning Ardley’s men will have to be on top form to progress to the third round.
Meanwhile, the Dons have managed two wins, one draw and two losses in that time going out of the FA Trophy in the process.
Both teams will be desperate to make it into the pot for the third round as this could potentially mean a visit from a Premier League side.
Star Man: Matt Tubbs- Scoring nine goals has made him the second highest scorer in the league and he will be hopping to carry this form over in the cup.
Danger Man: Sam Wood- The versatile winger scored when the sides last met and has been a regular for Wycombe since 2012.
Last Encounter: Wycombe 2-0 AFC Wimbledon, 18 October 2014, League 2 (Goals: Scowen 51 Wood 70)
