Singer Nicole Scherzinger paid a visit to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home last week in preparation for her role in hit musical Cats.
The former Pussycat Doll will be playing glamourpuss Grizabella in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical at the London Palladium from December 6.
A Battersea spokesman said: “Nicole was lovely – she was really keen to meet the cats and was really excited and friendly.
“She watched how different cats acted, how they behaved and how they are.”

It seems the former X Factor judge found the inspiration she was looking for as she posted a photo on her Instagram with many cats with outlandish characters.
She wrote: “Went to #Batterseacatshome in #London to study #cats for my character #Grizabella in our upcoming revival of #Cats! They have such different personalities!”

Cats will mark the former X Factor UK judge’s West End theatrical debut.
