Wimbledon champion Andy Murray has proposed to his girlfriend of nine years Kim Sears.
The 27-year-old reportedly popped the question last week with a diamond ring he had specially selected.
Kim is the daughter of British tennis coach and former Lawn Tennis Association head of women’s tennis Nigel Sears and met Murray back in 2005 when she was studying for her A-levels.
Dubbed the Kate Middleton of the tennis world, Kim has been by Andy’s side during his meteoric rise to fame and is regularly spotted in the crowds along with his mum, former Strictly Come Dancing contestant, Judy Murray.
The 27-year-old remain tight-lipped on Twitter yesterday merely asking his 2.79m-strong following where to visit in the Philippines while playing in the International Premier Tennis League.
