Non-League preview: Four cup ties and two vital clashes for South West London’s non-League sides

Sutton United take on Hayes and Yeading at York Road on Sunday with the U’s leapfrogging their opponents in the Conference South with a win.

Manager Paul Doswell was in charge in 2013 when the U’s smashed this weekend’s opponents 5-1 and will no doubt be dreaming of a repeat of the display against a side who sit 7th, four places above placed Sutton in the league.

In the FA Trophy first Round of Qualifying, Metropolitan Police host Billericay at Imber Court and Kingstonian travel to Barkingside hoping that a Cup run may help improve their uninspiring League form.

Colliers Wood United are hosting The FA Vase clash against Ringmer with the hope of repeating their 2004/05 run to the second round proper in the competition, a run which saw them beat fellow south west Londoners Raynes Park Vale en-route.

The Vale are also involved in a FA Vase clash, the Combined Counties Premier Division side host Westfield on the back of their brilliant 4-0 win over Frimley Green last weekend.

Ryman Football League strugglers Hampton and Richmond Borough look to forget last week’s dismal 6-0 thumping as Grays Athletic visit the Beveree Stadium.

Ten places separate the two sides in the league and the Beavers will be hoping to dam their leaky defence, 42 goals conceded this season remains a league high.

In the Ryman League Division One South, 7th placed Corinthian Casuals host mid-table Whitstable Town.

Bottom side Walton Casuals’ fixture against Three Bridges has been re-arranged – both sides progressed in the Cup and will therefore play each other on Tuesday evening at The Stags’ home, the Waterside Stadium.

Meanwhile, Carshalton Athletic resume duties against 17th placed Ramsgate at the War Memorial Sports Ground, the win is vital for both sides as they sit precariously at the wrong end of the Ryman League Division One South.

In the same league, Tooting and Mitcham United travel to Herne Bay looking to record their third victory on the bounce.
