A host of celebrity talent will bring the classic Cinderella fairytale to life this festive season, including Dallas star and Golden Globe nominee, Linda Gray.
TV funny man Tim Vine, Matthew Kelly and world-famous ballet dancer Wayne Sleep will also join the award-winning actress’s first pantomime as she takes on the role of Fairy Godmother.
Linda said: “I am so delighted to be making my pantomime debut in Cinderella at the beautiful New Wimbledon Theatre.
“I have heard such great things about British pantomime and I am very excited to get started!”
Linda is known for playing Sue Ellen Ewing in the cult American drama and reprised her role for the 2012 reboot.
She is also familiar with the London stage having played Mrs Robinson in the 2001 West End production of The Graduate.
Comedian Tim Vine will play panto favourite, the hapless Buttons, and is famous for his puns and one-liners that earned him The Funniest Joke Award at the Edinburgh Fringe.
He will also be well known to TV audiences for his role on Not Going Out and numerous panel show appearances.
Matthew Kelly is best known for his Stars in Your Eyes stint and will be joined by his son Matthew Rixon to play the ugly stepsisters.
They return to New Wimbledon Theatre after winning rave reviews for their performances in Aladdin last year.
World famous ballet dancer Wayne Sleep will bring a touch of elegance to proceedings playing the role of Dandini.
He has also appeared in TV shows such as Im A Celebrity Get Me Out Here and Celebrity Masterchef.
The stars won’t be the only ones lighting up the stage for Cinderella as New Wimbledon Theatre have added some extra touches to this classic fairytale.
The sets will be the belle of the ball and there will even be real Shetland ponies on stage.
Expect lots of audience participation and magical mayhem when the panto runs from Friday December 5 to Sunday January 11.
