A Wandsworth-based man donned his cycling shorts and helmet to cycle 310 miles in less than 24 hours to raise cash for charity.
Customer engagement specialist at Rant & Rave Nick Boxall-Hunt together with his friend, Henry Erdozain from Leeds, began their epic ride in Finsbury Park on August 30 and finished up in Newcastle the following day raising £1,450 for charity.
The cycle ride was in support of Action for A-T, a charity set up by a friend of Nick and Henry’s, which works to find a cure for Ataxia-Telangiectasia – a rare, genetic and degenerative childhood disease that affects multiple systems of the body.
Nick and Henry’s friend’s daughter suffers from this devastating fatal disease.
Nick said: “The bike ride was a massive physical and mental challenge but a fantastic experience and we are so pleased and grateful to have raised so much money.
“To do this in support of Action for A-T, a charity that is close to both our hearts, also means a lot as it is a relatively unknown disease and charity.
Donations to Action for A-T can be made on Nick and Henry’s Just Giving page www.justgiving.com/smoketotoon.
