Next week sees the third Fabulous Feast take place on St John’s Hill in Battersea, with more venues than ever before taking part in the annual event.
From 12th until 18th May, participating venues will offer exclusive £15 menus to diners, where they can show off their specialities.
The main event, the Big Food Festival, will take place on Saturday 17th, when food and drink producers can showcase their delicious offerings and visitors can take part in cookery demos and interactive classes. This is the day for discerning eaters and keen cooks to enjoy the special events at the host venues on the Hill and to browse, taste and shop at the wonderful selection of top quality food stalls which will crowd the pavements from 11am til 5pm.
A main highlight of the day will be the second Great Battersea Bake Off, where international baker Eric Lanlard who owns local café Cake Boy, will judge entrants’ best baked goods. For the children’s competition, youngsters are being asked to bake something which celebrates the English strawberry, while adults should whip up their best Victoria Sponge.
Sponsors of the event include Ben’s Canteen, Fish Club, Forbes & Lomax, Powder Keg Diplomacy, Experience Travel, Kaosarn, Bar 366, Adulis, My Delivery Cab, Cleavers, Battersea & Wandsworth Chiropractors, Topps Tiles, Urban Gourmet, Sainsburys, The Plough, & the Clapham Junction Town Centre Partnership.
