Brixton will get a taste of fashion ahead of London Fashion Week  with its second FrockSwap this February.

Lizzie Dixey, 28 from Brixton, runs the FrockSwap and encourages fashion lovers to bring unwanted clothes to the event to swap them for something different.

After swapping clothes with colleagues and seeing how pleased everyone was with the results, Lizzie thought that others might enjoy it too.

Taking a year off work due to illness, Lizzie started Frock Swappers in her spare time.

Running events across South London, the aim of Frock Swappers is to raise money for the charity.

Lizzie said: “I had to take a year off as I suffer from something called hyper mobility syndrome and I had major surgery on my back.

“I needed to have something to occupy me and keep myself motivated during my recovery so I decided to do a swap in Brixton.”

With a £3 entry fee, Frock Swappers raises money for the charity Trekstock, which seeks to raise awareness and money towards combating cancer through creative art, music and fashion projects.

“It was a huge success and we raised over £300 for Trekstock – we hope to beat that this time!”

The FrockSwap will be held at The Effra Social, Brixton on February 8 between 12:30 – 3:00pm.

Entry costs £3 with mulled cider and cakes available.
