A Fulham resident has been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of a man he knew.
Danny O’Gorman, 50, was also found stabbed at the scene, while the 49-year-old victim, who has not been named, died from a stab wound to his liver.
Mr O’Gorman was discharged from hospital and then arrested and charged with murder. He will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court later.
Detective Chief Inspector Noel McHugh said: “This was a dispute between two men who were known to each other. At this time, we are not looking for any other suspect.”
DCI McHugh, of the Homicide and Major Crime Command, is leading the murder investigation, which was launched yesterday after two men were found stabbed on Stephendale Road in Fulham on Wednesday.
If Mr O’Gorman is found guilty, it will be the first murder offence in Hammersmith and Fulham this year.
There were five murders in the borough in 2012, and 99 overall in London that year.
Both men were taken to separate London hospitals on Wednesday, and the victim died at hospital yesterday morning.
Officers believe they know the identity of the man, but they are waiting to confirm his identification and inform the next of kin.
Mr O’Gorman was immediately arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to a central London police station. His name and charge were announced this morning.
