A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Following the Brixton stabbings at the end of July, Lambeth Council is offering help and support to anyone affected by the incident.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after three women were stabbed, one fatally, on Monday July 29.
The victims were known to the attacker and Councillor Jack Hopkins, Lambeth’s Cabinet Member for Safer and Stronger Neighbourhoods, said that events were targeted incidents of domestic violence.
“We would like to reassure the community that the suspect is in custody and has been charged by police,” he said.
“As such there are no current concerns for the safety of residents resulting from the incident on Monday.”
He also urged anyone suffering from domestic violence to access the local support on offer.
“Violence against women and girls is completely unacceptable,” he added.
“No one should ever have to witness acts of violence. We are working with the police and community to hold those who perpetrate violence to account and put an end to violence.”
