Mistaken will hit the big screen this weekend.
A group of friends from Wandsworth are hitting the big screen this weekend with the launch of their first film.
Anthony Roberts, Jamie Nash, Mat Hall and Pedrum Kamali-Zonouzi had no film or script writing experience, but now their action movie Mistaken is set to premiere at Wandsworth Odeon this Saturday evening.
The boys taught themselves everything from scratch as well as funding the project, and are expecting over 300 people at the film’s premiere.
Director, Producer and Writer Anthony Roberts said that the film has taken over three years of almost non-stop work.
“It will hopefully shock people with the detail that has gone into it,” he said.
“We have attempted to make something way beyond a micro budget scope.”
Last year, the group went to Cannes with a few finished scenes and their trailer, and found the experience a real eye-opener.
“It was great weather, and more importantly, we learnt a lot about the film industry and distribution,” said Anthony, who is a web developer by trade.
They hope that after the screening the film will have a cinematic and DVD release.
