Rupert Bartley suffers from Alzheimers and has not been seen since last night.
Residents are being urged to look out for a pensioner who has gone missing from his Clapham home.
Rupert Bartley, aged 79, was last seen by his wife at his home in Santley Street at around 6.30 yesterday evening.
The pensioner, who suffers from Alzheimers, is black, around 5ft 11, and last seen wearing a grey coat and checkered flat cap.
Police are asking residents to be extra vigilant while on public transport, as Mr Bartley enjoys travelling on the bus and often wears his Oyster pass around his neck on a ribbon.
They are anxious for his quick return as he suffers from high blood pressure and diabetes which requires regular medication which he does not have with him.
This is not the first time Mr Bartley has gone missing – he was recently found in the Merton area although he has no specific connections there.
Anyone who has seen Mr Bartley or knows of his whereabouts is asked to contact Brixton CID via 101 or 0208 649 2191 and quote the ref: 13MIS016341. Alternatively, contact the charity Missing People on 116000.
