Brian Christopher Knight attempted to find a child to have sex with.
A paedophile who tried to find a child to sexually abuse by leaving letters in public toilets has been fined just £45.
Brian Christopher Knight, from Chelsea, left notes and a photo of a child in Battersea Park toilets over a 14 month period from April 2011 to June 2012.
The first note read: “If you get access to children, call me. If you can get me a girl I will have sex with her and pay. Serious offer.”
Members of the public found the notes, and police started patrolling the park to try and identify who was writing them.
Although at first the notes decreased, in May last year more appeared, this time of a homosexual nature, with Knight begging men to call him.
In June 2012, police spotted a man in his 40s leaving the toilets, and upon checking found two more notes in the same handwriting
“I like any kind of sex with men, women and children. Text me and I’ll be free,” said one.
At Lavender Hill Magistrates Court, Knight admitted outraging public decency, and was banned from going to Battersea Park for three years.
He was ordered to carry out a 36-month community order, pay £85 in court costs, a £45 fine and a £15 victim surcharge.
