DANNY Care has warned Leicester Tigers his Harlequins side won’t give up their Aviva Premiership title without a fight.
The Quins and England scrum-half is determined for his team to be crowned champions at Twickenham on May 25 for the second season running – but they must first get past the Tigers in today’s semi-final at Welford Road.
The match will see Care pit his wits against England scrum-half rival Ben Youngs, and he is relishing the challenge of beating the Tigers on their own patch.
“This is the business end of the season and where we want to be,” said Care.
“Leicester at Welford Road is one of the best places to play rugby where they are going to have 28,000 fans there wanting them to win, but we are coming into a bit of form and are confident of going and doing a job.
“We have had a couple of good results there the last times we have played there and you have got to raise your game in a semi-final. Leicester are a brilliant team and we know we are going to have to play very well.
“A lot of people are writing us off already which adds fuel to the fire. As Quins we don’t want to give away the title and we won’t give it away easily, so Saturday expect a big game from us.”
The Aviva Premiership Rugby final has sold out for the last five years. To snap up one of the remaining tickets go to ticketmaster.co.uk or call 0844 844 0444.
