A popular TV cookery show is hitting the road and will arrive at New Wimbledon Theatre this autumn.
Ready Steady Cook Live!, starring Russell Grant and celebrity chefs, is touring the UK and will come to Wimbledon on Wednesday October 2.
Following the classic TV format, guest chefs will work against the clock to prepare a meal, backed up by the competing Red Tomato/Green Pepper kitchens.
The audience will be then be offered the chance to vote for their favourite, with the most popular winning the show.
As well as joining in with the competition, the audience also have the chance to get tips from the chefs and enjoy some insider gossip on making the TV series.
The show will be hosted by Russell Grant, who won the nation’s hearts in the 2011 series of Strictly Come Dancing, and has also starred in Andrew Lloys Webber’s West End production of The Wizard of Oz.
Executive chef Lesley Waters has appeared in over 500 editions of the long-running show and will head up the celebrity chefs. The chefs appearing vary in each venue, but include Nick Nairn, Tony Tobin, Brian Turner CBE and Kevin Woodford.
Ready Steady Cook began on BBC1 in October 1994, and was hosted by Fern Britton until 2000, and Ainsley Harriet until 2010. It has made household names of many of the chefs including James Martin, Phil Vickery, Nick Nairn and Brian Turner.
