The 40th anniversary tour of the Rocky Horror Show starring Roxanne Pallett and Rhydian comes to the New Wimbledon Theatre from 21-26 January 2013.
The musical extravaganza will feature the Rocky Horror classics, “Science Fiction/Double Feature”, “Dammit Janet” and of course, the timeless floor-filler, “The Time-Warp”.
West End Star Oliver Thornton who has appeared in Les Miserables and Phantom of the Opera will play the lead role of Frank N Furter.
Former Emmerdale star Roxanne Pallett will play Janet, with X Factor runner up Rhydian taking on the role of Rocky.
Ben Forster, who recently played the lead in Jesus Christ Superstar, plays Brad.
The Rocky Horror Show famously combines science-fiction, horror, comedy and music and encourages audience participation in the form outrageous fancy dress.
It tells the story of Brad and his fiancée Janet, two college students who meet Dr Frank N Furter by chance when their car breaks down outside his house.
The fun and frivolity starts here and there are many twists and turns along the way for the audience to enjoy.
“It’s a massive honour, it is such an iconic show and soundtrack and film, I don’t know anybody that doesn’t get excited at the sound of Rocky Horror,” said Roxanne Pallett.
“We have a really dynamic cast and everyone brings something different to the table which is exciting for us and hopefully it will be for the audience as well.”
It has been performed worldwide for nearly 40 years in over 30 countries and has been translated into more than 20 languages.
Many stars, including Russell Crowe, Tim Curry, Jerry Springer and Meatloaf have appeared in the show over the past 40 years.
It was also hugely successful in a film adaptation which grossed $135million and is still shown at cinemas around the globe.
Tickets can be booked online at www.atgtickets.com/wimbledon or by telephone on 0844 871 7646 and will cost between £10 and £29.50.
