Pop sensation Lady Gaga is due to play at Twickenham Stadium this weekend, with crazed fans camping out from as early as last Thursday to catch a glimpse of the star.
Whilst the prominent pop star won’t be taking to the stage until 8pm on Saturday, a swarm of fans have descended on the quiet town of Twickenham to set up a makeshift campsite on a small patch of grass just behind Talma Gardens.
Mega-fan, Sophie Cowie, 16, from Swansea, has managed to bag herself a souvenir necklace and backstage pass after arriving nine days ago and camping out with her mum Sue.
This is Sophie’s seventh time seeing Gaga in concert, and the first leg of her three day tour of the UK, following the songstress to all three shows.
Fans who arrive before 8am, on their respective days, may get the chance to go in the ‘Monster Pit,’ which is a small area in front of the stage typically called a mosh pit.
The set has yet to fully sell out, with tickets still available for Sunday at livenation.com, however that hasn’t stopped ticket touts, who are out in full force, charging upwards of £200 per ticket.
With 55,000 people expected each day police are advising people to take extra care when in the area.
