Tea fit for a Duchess – Tea Tasting Workshop, Ham House

Enjoy a Gourmet Chinese tea tasting event while hearing about the history of tea drinking in the 17th century.
Peek into the Duchess of Lauderdale’s private closet and be see one of the oldest teapots in England. There is also a one hour workshop with local Chinese Tea specialists Canton Tea Co in the Orangery. Discover exquisite quality jasmine, oolong, white and green teas, which the Duchess probably enjoyed herself.

Period in Print, The Bowman Gallery

The exhibition will present an over-all view of “the print”, showing examples of different types such as lithographs, engravings, etchings, microcosms etc. The prints range from an 16th century engraving by Van Leydon to present day monoprints and woodcuts by contemporary artists. Background information and brief descriptions of the processes involved are to be included, enhancing the experience.
There is also a Private View on Saturday 5th November 1pm-7pm.
