The Kilt 10k Run made its fifth appearance, as a group of runners dressed in Scottish attire took to the streets of London to celebrate Burns Night.
The run stopped after every kilometre for the organiser, Robert, to share facts about Scottish history and ended in whiskey tasting.
Burns Night falls on the 25th of January to celebrate Scottish poet Robert Burns’ birthday and is usually celebrated with a dinner and recitations of his poetry.
The run was attended by Scots and non Scots alike from as far afield as Denver, Colorado. Aside from the people they arrived with, no one knew each other.
The event began with a reading of Burns’ poetry and time for everyone to introduce themselves, before the group set off along London’s sunny embankment.
