Bosla Arts have ran a ‘day of creative solidarity for Palestine fundraiser’ to raise money for Medical Aid for Palestinians amid the war in the Middle East.
The arts organisation began recently, led by co-founders Georgia Beeston and Hossam Fazulla.
Throughout the day, three workshops were hosted with a variety of people running it.
The first event was the Birds of Gaza Lino Print Workshop led by Zafeerah Hessambee to honour the Palestinian sunbird and create a collective piece memorialising all the children lost in Gaza.
There was then a communal lunch catered by Hiba Express and with cassetes by Sha3by Chic.
Afterwards was the ‘I’m (not) fine’ creative writing workshop, with poet Fedzilla, about putting your feelings to paper as she gave prompts, and personal stories.
The night ended with an Open Mic Night: Solidarity Sessions where everyone in attendance was invited to sing, recite a poem or anything they desired.
A day of community and solidarity, enjoyed by all those who attended.
