Down a small road in Walworth, South London, lies Orbit Beers Brewery and Taproom, a small independent brewery that makes its beers onsite and offers a selection of their products in a taproom across the road.
Despite being tucked away from the beaten track, Orbit has built a solid reputation for itself across Camberwell, Peckham and Deptford, serving customers in well known and loved local pubs, bars and restaurants.
Since its conception ten years ago, Orbit has faced a number of challenges, including competition from macro beer companies and the ongoing impact of Covid.
I visited the site and spoke to their team about how they’ve navigated these issues and asserted their presence in the local community.
