Sticks n’ Sushi is hosting hands-on culinary and cultural experiences for children as their prioritised guests.
The sushi restaurant chain will host interactive classes for children, dubbed Kids n’ Sushi, in which they are supervised and instructed by chefs and front-of-house staff.
The classes will give participants the opportunity to demonstrate their adaptability and creativity.
Children, called VIPs, are at the heart of the Scandinavian business in maintaining traditional family values and promoting inclusivity.
The children create a take-home box of fresh [inside-out roll] maki (nori/ seaweed on the outside), urumaki (rice on the outside), and nigiri (fish laid on top of a rice ball).
Those who complete the classes will receive a certificate and a bag of treats, including chocolate fish, their own rolling mats, and chopsticks.
The classes also offer some insight into Japanese culture and language, with the children being taught basic phrases, numbers, and mannerisms.
Other London branches hosting classes are located in White City, Greenwich, and Canary Wharf, which will occur monthly throughout the year.
First established in Denmark, Sticks n’ Sushi celebrates its 30th anniversary this year and continues to open chains across London.
The company opened a Shoreditch branch nine months ago, whilst the Richmond branch opened on 5 May.
