New Era Training, opened just four weeks ago by Callum Jackson, is designed to be the perfect training ground for cricket fanatics and fitness buffs like himself.
A company made entirely from his own mind, manager and coach Jackson, 29, has designed New Era Training to be the most ideal and convenient spot for trainees.
Located on the edge of Battersea and Nine Elms, he has converted a rail archway into a single lane indoor practice hall and upstairs gym, for dynamic and tailored training.
Jackson said: “We are London’s only dedicated indoor cricket and fitness facility, providing junior athletic development courses to teach youth athletes the principles of training in the gym as well as a host of other things.”
Jackson has over 10 years of combined experience, being the head coach of the British cricket academy and personal trainer for some high-profile London clients.
His goals with NET are to create a community of people who are dedicated to bettering themselves and share a love of cricket and fitness.
The unique single laned experience works well for 1-1 training but can also be used for groups, as they host a range of cricket evenings, holiday camps, birthday parties and can even be great fun for a night out.
Jackson said: “I wanted to make somewhere where I could offer something to everyone.
“We’ve been open for three weeks and it’s been non-stop, busy most evenings and Sundays.”
Jackson prides himself that NET is a place where individuals enter knowing they’re about to be better at something.
The indoor training ground was chosen as its perfect to use in any season, any weather, its sheltered and private for the best personal training.
The personalised cricket coaching experience uses AI that tracks ball movement, bat swing, body positioning and much more that Jackson uses to analyse a player’s strengths and weaknesses and how to perfect them.
State of the art equipment such as the bowling machine that will shoot the ball at you for easy batting, as well as a bijou personal gym with space for up to 4 people during a group PT session.
NET hosts holiday cricket camps, perfect for school kids and brining communities together, cricket birthday parties, athletic development programmes, it is altogether a great space for any cricket fanatic or team to practice or celebrate.
Jackson’s goal is to expand his business and have more locations in London.
Even so, currently they are perfectly accessible and have a stellar premium feel inside, together with being adjacent to Battersea Park and Clapham Common, training can be taken outdoors.
