Katie Swan eliminated top seed Tatjana Maria to ensure three British women will play in the semi-finals of the LTA’s Lexus Surbiton Trophy for the first time ever.
The British No.5 became the third home-grown woman in the tournament’s history to upset the top seed as she battled back to beat 2022 Wimbledon semi-finalist Tatjana Maria.
In a week that saw four British women reach the quarter-finals for the first time since 2017, Swan showed incredible spirit to come from a set down and win 3-6 6-3 6-4.
She will now face Lily Yuriko Miyazaki after she brought Isabelle Lacy’s fairytale run at the tournament to an end with an emphatic win in straight sets.
The British No.7 and her 16-year-old rival drew a significant crowd on Court 1, but Miyazaki was in control from the word go as she recorded an impressive 6-3 6-0 victory.
It is the end of the road for Lacy, but she can hold her head up high following a run that saw her beat former world No.35 Madison Brengle.
Katie Boulter wrapped up a fantastic day of tennis with a straight-sets victory over 2021 Wimbledon quarter-finalist Viktorija Golubic.
The Swiss player made Boulter work for the first set, but there was no doubt about the second as the Brit won 7-5 6-2.

Julian Cash and Henry Patten were forced to withdraw due to an injury to Patten’s lower back.
Sophie Chang and Yanina Wickmayer won the final of the women’s doubles, beating Brits Alicia Barnett and Olivia Nicholls 6-4 6-1.
