John Bell & Croyden announces ‘Anniversary Award’ shortlist

Nineteen global innovative beauty, health and wellbeing brands have been shortlisted in the second round of the John Bell & Croyden Anniversary Award, launched this year to find the next big beauty brand.

Organised by the iconic Wigmore Street store in association with Country & Town House and CEW UK, the unique competition has been created to celebrate the store’s 225th Anniversary as London’s Luxury Pharmacy.

It was opened to all young and innovative independent brands, offering them the chance to have their products stocked by John Bell & Croyden in 2023.

It also provides new brands the opportunity to build and grow through an exclusive marketing package worth £25,000.

Judge Lucy Cleland, Editorial Director at Country & Town House, said: “It’s thrilling to see the quality of brands who want to earn a much-desired space on the shelves of the wonderful John Bell & Croyden.

“I’m looking for the most ethical products with proven results and that also look great in the bathroom. I’m excited.”

Robin Winfield, Director, John Bell & Croyden, added: “We were overwhelmed with the number of entries we received for our 225th anniversary prize competition.

“Over 80 new brands sent in products from their ranges for the panel of judges to peruse and discuss. Narrowing down the entries into a first shortlist of 20 was as difficult as you would expect it to be.

“However, after much discussion and deliberation, we managed to find our top 20 to progress to the next round.

“Now comes the hard part, narrowing it down to a final select few who will get to present their brand and product range in full to the panel of judges. Exciting times!’’
